Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. wishes to express its deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the recent earthquake in southeastern Turkey.

In response to the disaster, SHI has decided to donate $50,000 through the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Japan for victim relief and reconstruction of the affected areas.

In addition, Sumitomo Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., a member of the SHI Group companies, will be supporting Turkey by assisting provision of construction machinery and equipment through its distribution channel. It is also dispatching personnel to Turkey to confirm the extent of the damage and ascertain the nature of local requests for assistance.

SHI offers its sincerest wishes for the earliest possible recovery of the affected areas.
