The Sumitomo Heavy Industries Group has formulated the “Human Rights Policy for the Sumitomo Heavy Industries Group” to reinforce Group-wide efforts relating to respect for human rights.
This policy is in accordance with the United Nations’ “Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights” and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan’s “Guidelines on Respect for Human Rights in Responsible Supply Chains.”
Under the new policy, the SHI Group will give its fullest attention to the human rights of all stakeholders involved in its business activities and fulfill its corporate responsibility to respect human rights.
