We are pleased to announce that Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. (“SHI”) has raised its ratio of shareholding from 14.7% to 51% in Tatung SM-Cyclo Co., Ltd. (“TSC”), a sales company of SHI’s power transmission and controls products in Taiwan.
In 1996, SHI established TSC as a joint venture with Tatung Company, a major electrical products manufacturer in Taiwan, and has moved forward with promoting sales of SHI’s power transmission and controls products in the Taiwanese market. SHI will strengthen TSC’s management by raising its ratio of shareholding in TSC and further promote sales in the Taiwanese market.
