Selected as a Constituent of the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index

Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Toshiro Watanabe) has been selected for the fourth consecutive year as a constituent of the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index, a leading ESG investment index adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).
The FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index, developed by FTSE Russell, a global index provider, is designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. In the June 2026 review, 477 Japanese companies were selected as constituents of the Index.
We have also been selected for the fifth consecutive year as a constituent of the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index (*), which was adopted by GPIF in 2022.
We will continue to advance our sustainability management initiatives by further enhancing our ESG efforts and information disclosure, thereby contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
