Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. (Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Toshiro Watanabe; hereinafter “Sumitomo Heavy Industries”), Sumitomo Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Isamu Mitsuhashi; a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Heavy Industries; hereinafter “Sumitomo Construction Machinery”), and Fujita Corporation (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo;President and CEO: Yoji Okumura; hereinafter “Fujita”) have jointly conducted a demonstration test on the automation of earth and soil loading and transport at construction sites through the coordination of an autonomous excavator and an autonomous crawler dump truck.
