Sumi-Cyclo Drive India Private Limited, a group company of Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toshiro Watabe), commenced operations at a new factory in March 2026 to strengthen the drive technology business in India.
At the new facility, we carry out the assembly, configuration, testing, and servicing of gear speed reducer and gearmotor products such as gear units used across a wide range of industrial sectors as well as power transmission solutions. By expanding engineering support and after-sales services for customers throughout India, we aim to deliver faster and more flexible responses while further strengthening our local business foundation.
Going forward, we will continue to build a robust structure to meet the needs of our global customers, while contributing to local communities and pursuing sustainable growth.
