■ Reasons for Receiving the Award
Since its founding in 1998 in Welshpool, Wales, UK, Invertek has been growing in the field of variable frequency drive (VFD) technology and has increased its sales by 149% over the past six years, achieving remarkable results in the international market.

■ Contribution to Technical Innovation and Sustainability
The Optidrive Series, Invertek’s core product, is considered sustainable in the manufacturing industry and the air conditioning, water treatment, and renewable energy fields, among other areas. Optimally controlling the speed and torque of the electric-powered motor lowers electricity consumption, helping improve energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.

In 2024, the major expansion of the plant was completed, and the number of employees increased from 200 in 2018 to over 400 in 2025. Invertek’s contribution to the local economy has also been highly recognized.

Since 2019, as SHI’s group company, Invertek has been working on product development and market expansion to help achieve a sustainable society while striving to combine technological capabilities and global networks.
Receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise on this occasion is a testament to the SHI Group’s international competitiveness and technological advantage. In the future, Invertek will continue striving for further growth in the global market and the creation of social value.

■ Statement by CEO Adrian Ellam
“The King’s genuine interest in our technology and its environmental benefits reinforced why our work matters. Having the opportunity to represent Welsh manufacturing at Windsor Castle was truly memorable for our entire company.”
