ARGUS, a peripheral monitoring system for cranes

Overview of service or product	To ensure the safety of our customers, Sumitomo Construction Machinery felt it was necessary to reduce the lack of awareness of what is happening around machinery, which is considered to be one of the main reasons that accidents occur in which people are trapped or pulled into machinery. In addition to the "FVM" function that enables operators to check the rear view over a wide angle of 270° while sitting in the driver's seat of the excavator, we are further developing "FVM2" by fitting a peripheral monitoring device equipped with a notification function to the excavator.
