Initiatives for Carbon Neutrality
Sumitomo Heavy Industries Group (SHI Group) is working on reducing environmental impacts from the perspectives of "reducing the impact its business activities have on the environment" and "improving the environmental performance of its products. "Notably, SHI Group positions "climate change" as a social issue it should contribute to solving.
SHI Group aims to become carbon neutral by 2050 and set CO2 emission reduction targets up to 2030 to achieve the ultimate goal.
