Launched New Double-shot Injection Molding Machine "SE400HS-CI"

Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. (President: Shinji Shimomura) starts selling the all-electric double-shot injection molding machine SE400HS-CI from August 30th. In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for two-material molding for the purpose of labor saving in the production process, functional improvement such as design and sealing properties, and texture improvement. Especially in the automobile industry, molds are becoming larger due to higher added value and higher functionality of molded parts, and there is an increasing demand for two-material molding equipped with a large rotary table. We will meet these needs by expanding the lineup of all-electric double-shot injection molding machine CI series (clamping force 290kN-2740kN) to 4000kN.

We will continue to meet the needs of our customers and develop products that contribute to the sophistication needs of society.

■Main Features

1) Improving productivity

The cycle time could be shortened by high-speed rotary unit. In addition, Direct Drive injection unit enables high precision and high response screw control, greatly improving molding stability.

2) Improving work efficiency

Equipped with a unique cableveyor for temperature control piping, it shortens the cycle time, shortens the setup, and improves the mold design flexibility. In addition, the 90-degree table stop provides safety and easy work which leads to reduction of setup time.

3) Improving capability

The wide platen with expanded tie-bar clearance and the original temperature control piping system make it possible to mount large molds and realize the molding of long length products that was not possible with separated molds.
