This privacy policy is issued by us, Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. Plastics Machinery Division and its group companies as shown on the following page of our website (https://www.shi.co.jp/plastics/) (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", "our", or "SHI-PMD"). When we collect and use your personal data, we are the data controllers in the meaning of GDPR and are responsible for protecting your rights with personal data.

SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA

Where we collect and use sensitive categories of your personal data defined in applicable laws, we will obtain your prior and explicit consent. The data processed before we receive your request may still be processed lawfully. Excepted from this consent is data where we are obliged to collect and use in order to fulfil our legal obligations or to protect vital interests of you or other persons in emergencies.

RETENTION (how long we retain your personal data)

We will retain your personal data as long as we have business relation with the company or any other entity you belong to at the time when we collect your personal data.
Thereafter we keep them as may be required by applicable laws related to audit or tax issues or until we receive your objection to our retaining your personal data.

TRANSFER TO NON-EU COUNTRIES

We may disclose your personal data to other SHI-PMD companies located in other countries than one where you live. In the case of such international transfer, we will take appropriate measures in accordance with applicable law.

We may disclose your personal data to other SHI-PMD companies that are located in countries outside of the European Economic Area other than thone countries where the European Commissinon or the UK government decided that data protection law with a level of privacy and data protection equivalent to that of GDPR is in force. In cases where such data transfer happens, we protect your personal data by virtue of data transfer agreements with such data recipients pursuant to Article 46 of the GDPR, which impose on such recipients contractual obligations to ensure adequate level of data protection equivalent to those laid down by GDPR.

We do not have actual knowledge that we sell personal information about residents who we know are younger than 16 years old.

3.RIGHT TO OPT-OUT OF THE SALES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

b. Under the CCPA, the activities, in which we share information collected from cookies or email address with advertising agencies to manage our personalized advertising to those of you 16 years of age or older based on your preferences, may be considered a "sale" of personal information.

7.How our site responds to "Do Not Track" Signals

8.CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

We do not collect and store personal information about Children (in this provision, we define Children as minors under 13 years of age) if this information is submitted by a Child without prior parental consent or by the parent or guardian of the Child.

If we discover that we've unintentionally collected information from a Child in a way that does not meet COPPA requirements, we will delete the information immediately.
