The company's shipbuilding business dates back to 1897, when the Uraga Dock Company Limited was established. Since then, Yokosuka has been the site of the construction of over 1,400 ships of various types over a period of 120 years.
In accordance with the revised business strategy announced in February 2024, the company will transition to ship-related engineering and the construction of large steel structures, foundation structures, and offshore wind-related vessels, including work boats, leveraging the ship-building technology it has developed to date.
Furthermore, we will continue to enhance our production system with a view to developing a mass production method for such steel structures through expansion of facilities.
Additionally, in the ship repair business, which represents our current focus, we will develop the organization and other aspects of the business in preparation for future market expansion.
Our corporate vision is “Continue to exceed the expectations of customers and to grow employees through engaging each other.” With solid marketing power and engineering capabilities, we aim to create new values that exceed our customers'expectations.
The company will continue to pursue growth in the energy and lifelines sectors, offering new opportunities for prosperity and enhanced quality of life to customers worldwide while contributing to regional economic development.
