Since delivering the first sintering plant in the 1920's, Sumitomo Heavy Industries., Ltd. (SHI) has supplied continuous casting machines, wire-rod mills, tension levelers and other steel making facilities to Japanese and foreign customers. Based upon much experience, SHI has accumulated a wide range of engineering technologies and achievements. In 2001, JP Steel Plantech Co., (SPCO) was established as a SHI steel-making equipment joint venture with other Japanese companies. Today, through a tie-up with SPCO, Sumitomo Heavy Industries Techno-Fort Co., Ltd. (STF) offers reconditioning, modifying, repairing and surveying of steel-making machinery, and supplies spare parts to Japanese customers. STF provides immediate and satisfactory service upon request to its Japanese customers.
