As measures against global warming move forward, there is a growing
need for sewage treatment plants to reduce CO2 emissions
and electricity consumption. As far as sewage treatment plants are
concerned, the aeration in reaction tanks in which biological treatment
takes place consumes 40 to 50% of total electricity consumption.
In order to cut down this consumption dramatically, SHI has developed
gAir Revoh to replace conventional air diffusers. gAir Revoh
is a set of ultra-fine bubble aeration panels that is efficient
in transferring oxygen. The results of performance tests show that
the introduction of Air Revo into biological reaction tanks can
reduce electricity consumption of air blowers dramatically.
