Signing of the Supply Contract for two 2,200-t/h Continuous Ship Unloader units to Taiwan Power Company, Lin Kou Power Plant Renewal Project

Sumitomo Heavy Industries Material Handling Systems Co., Ltd., (headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Katsuhide Yokota; wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Heavy Industries) has signed the Supply Contract for two Continuous Ship Unloader units to Taiwan Power Company, Lin Kou Power Plant Renewal Project, which are designed to unload coal from ocean going vessels at a rated capacity of 2200 t/h.

These Unloaders discharges Bulk materials from vessels, and our design is of the “Bucket Elevator Type” using chain linked Buckets and its Rotation. We developed this design in 1976, and have always been the leading supplier of Continuous Ship Unloaders with more than 50 units of deliveries world wide.

Taiwan Power Company is the sole Public Power Company in Taiwan, and has 11 Fossil Fuel Power Plants and Hydro & Nuclear Power Plants. Our proposal was highly evaluated throughout the bidding stage for its high unloading efficiency, its operational advantages and low maintenance costs, and the respective contract awarded to us will become our first delivery for the Taiwan market.
